Capability architecture isn’t about creating courses.

It’s about enabling  organisations that think better, lead better and respond more effectively when the stakes are high.

I’m Alex Sturman, an Enterprise Capability and Organisational Learning Consultant, Leadership Coach (ICF PCC) and behavioural science practitioner with more than twenty years’ experience designing workforce capability across government, regulation, healthcare, mental health, disability, justice and community services.

I specialise in translating complex operational risk into practical capability that people can use in the real world.

Most recently, I designed an enterprise-wide Occupational Violence and Aggression Prevention and Recovery capability system for EPA Victoria. Rather than delivering isolated training, the work established an integrated capability architecture spanning frontline officers, people leaders, executive leadership, safety induction, specialist operational risk, return-to-work leadership and organisational learning. The program combined behavioural science, safety science, psychosocial risk management, leadership development and operational decision-making into a single, scalable learning system.

My work sits at the intersection of organisational development, learning design, leadership capability and behavioural risk. Whether supporting executives through organisational change, designing enterprise capability frameworks or developing practical learning for high-risk operational environments, my focus is always the same:
